My sixteenth guest on my, 'Deliciously Scandalous Blog Tour' is the awesome author, Mary Reason Theriot. Another fun interview ;)

Hi everyone, I have a great treat lined up for you all this evening. I have not only got another awesome victim for todays tour, but I have a treat for you all at the end of this interview. It's just my way and the author's way of saying thank you to all our readers for giving us all such awesome support this year. Really you have all been fantastic, you have really have pushed this tour and me forward, and we would really like to say thank you! I do tend to thank a lot of people on this tour, and you may be sitting there thinking, 'not again!' but really we all know gratitude does go a long way and I for one am not afraid to show it ;)

There are so many wonderful talented awesome people out there, that for me it's a pleasure and an honor to meet and to know, I have been very lucky enough to make some amazing friends along the way, and still continue to make, you all remember my first guest on my tour, the lovely author Helle Soe Gade, I got an epic surprise when Helle gave me some news about her friends campaign and asked would I like to take part. I agreed, but more about that in a minute after I give you the link to Helle's awesome interview :)

Now the surprise I had was on a Sunday morning when I received a DM from a lady I had never met before telling me about a video that had been made for her, Give a book campaign, I got chatting to the lovely author, Marta Moran Bishop, and then the penny dropped that it was the friend that Helle had mentioned weeks before. Marta then went on to show me the video, and I must say this did touch me in many ways, the creativity of the animation is beautiful and I wanted to share a little about Marta, again my way of saying thank you. I know all the other authors involved are feeling the same way as I do. This is the video that moved me so much that Sunday morning, once you watch it I know you will see why :)

You can learn so much more about, Marta Moran Bishop, by visiting, Marta's Facebook page and website, please don't take my word on how great this lady is, please do drop by and see for yourself :)

Wow... Hi Mary, I didn't hear you come in then, I was busy chatting away to myself, can you tell us all a little about yourself please... 'I can't get over not locking that door!'

have found that writing is great therapy for my own personal fight against MS. Being a Louisiana native and wanted to write books about places in Louisiana that would pique interest in my beautiful and unique state. My books take place in my home state and draw the reader in with the diverse culture, characters and locations. It is my hope that my readers not only enjoy the books I have written, but also develop a desire to experience the unique culture that only Louisiana has to offer!

Hey, it's great to see you: like I was saying before, ignore me locking the doors and windows, I will explain about that a little later on... Your hometown sounds lovely, it really must have given you so much inspiration to write about it, and I totally agree with you about the writing. For me, writing was a therapy to start with and still is in many ways, but then that writing turned into a passion, and a talent was born that I never knew was there until I was 35 years old and just went out and did it. It was to prove to myself, as well as others, that
I can, and there is no such word as can't, which brings me to the next question...
Sometimes in life we all want more than what we can have, but if you had one wish to have anything or anyone, what would that wish be and why?

This is a hard question for me to answer, but I would love to have at least one day where hatred and animosity did not fill the world.  It appears every time you turn around there is hatred, jealousy and animosity.

Yes that sure sounds great and it would be a lovely little world to live in, but please put that bottle down and let me ask you the next question since we're in a giggly mood :)

I would like you to make a short story up using no more than 400 words, containing each one of these 14 key words; Toe, Game, Pool, Dad, Run , Window, Hand,
Dog Poo, Sex, Lamp, Spoon, Hole, Sex, Sheep!

As a small pebble hit her window she looked out to see her boyfriend, John, waving his hand to her.  The only light to see by downstairs was a small lamp that her mother kept on in the living room.  As Kathryn snuck out of the house she stepped on a spoon someone had carelessly thrown on the floor.  More than likely her little brother, Ethan, had brought a pint of his favourite ice cream up to his room.  She held back a groan as she opened the front door.  She listened carefully to make sure that her dad had not woken up before leaving the house.
While this is nothing more than a game to Kathryn and John she has no doubt that her dad would not find this as funny.  He would more than likely run John away from here fast as he could.
She found John waiting for her near the pool.  As they ran hand in hand to the barn for a little midnight sex escapade Kathryn stepped into a large pile of dog poo.  “Oh gross.”
John was laughing so hard at Kathryn’s misfortune that he stepped right into an armadillo hole.  “You better make this sex worth all this trouble John.”
Giving her a wink he promised he would.  As the young couple tossed their clothes into a heaping pile on the hay the sheep, cows and horses all prepared for the show that was about to begin!

Wow... You can't leave a guy hanging like this! Great story! Now where do I read on? Only to see where the word toe is of course , 'Honest!'

When I first started writing I had a lot of negative people around me, I know I  had to lose that energy in order to continue writing and fulfilling what others thought I couldn’t do. Did you ever experience any of this when you first started writing or were you lucky enough to have the right support around you?

I have had some wonderful support from family and friends alike but I have also had some very negative comments from a few individuals as well.
I have learned to brush off the negativity and just focus on the positive.

It's a shame we all do have the negative ones around us and you do have to learn to brush them all to one side; if you don't then you will never achieve your goals in life. No one should stomp on any person's dream or even stand in their way, trying to make life harder than what it already is. I know about hard, I still have the thoughts of your story going on inside my head! 'Down boy! See the negative thoughts are gone, but speaking of hard...

If you had a chance to run any country and make a difference, what country would it be and why?

I would have to start with the country that I live in, the United States.

I won't ask why since most countries have so much to answer for :(

What would you say the worst thing a reader has ever said to you and what was your reaction?

I had one reader who stated that by the third book all of my books seem to read the same.  I began to doubt myself, but with that review I also decided it was time for me to show the world that I did have a very vivid imagination.  From there on, I didn’t hold back on any idea that would come to me.

I would say you are holding back as you look so nervous standing right next to my virtual door, please take a seat and relax. I know I gave CR a good seeing to, in this office, but I will go easy on you, I promise; It's only an interview! You started Louie off with your story! He's just a bulge. Ignore him! Let's take my mind off it and...

I would like you to envision walking down a busy high street with your partner and suddenly there was a noise that came from his bottom and people turned around looking at you, what would your reaction be and why?

I would point to my partner and tell him that he, or she, really needed to cut back on the beans.
My husband and I are constantly cracking jokes with each other so he would just laugh.

Yes, result! A woman after my own
fart! 'Giggles!' I like a woman who can laugh over crap jokes, I think that part of a relationship is brilliant, when you can just be yourself and make jokes out of anything and not get judgmental about silly things, but laughing together  :)

Use only two words that would describe you?

Happy, go-lucky

Wait, don't go, I was joking... Please wait, and just answer the next questions, you're not so happy and go lucky when you're in my virtual office, all doors and windows are locked! I have my reasons behind that. Last time I was in here, I was a little cheeky with CR and the word on the street was that, CR Haitt and Dawn Torrens are after me for some sort of revenge! It has something to do with CR, but since that interview, I really haven't stopped running,! I will have had it if they both catch up with me! I am not taking any chances and I locked all the doors and windows after you walked in here, so you can stop being so nervous now, they are locked for a reason... Our protection!

8, Have you ever been…
A, The owner of a lonely heart.
B. The owner of a broken heart
C. None of the above?

Years ago I had my heart broken, but through pain comes strength.

Absolutely! I think most of us have felt that pain in our lives at some point, the people that haven't I do take my hat off to them. It's not a pain I would like to wish on anyone.
Let's have a little fun, it's ok I didn't mean that kind of fun, Like I said before the windows and doors are locked so there is no point in trying them, just relax...

It's time for a little fun, I would like you to do the rhyme ‘Jack and Jill’ Using your own words.

Jack and Jill ran up the hill, to get their fill of candy.
Jack thought it would be dandy,
Jill wanted to be greedy and gave Jack a push on his back,
Now Jack has a headache and Jill had a tummy ache.

I like it, but I thought after Dandy that Jill might of got a little randy, where Jack was on his back, just drinking his brandy! 'Giggles'

When you are writing, do you ever think, Erm me and my partner did that last night, that has to go into my story?

LOL –most definitely.

...Ok you can stop laughing now, I only wanted to ask, I just didn't want to be the only one that's all, 'Giggles'...

If you could be a Musical instrument, what would you be and why?

The piano.

You haven't said why, but it is a great instrument to be, you can even have many hands playing with you at the same time, I like the sounds of that... I can't think why! 'Giggles'

If you could change one thing about you as a person, what would that one thing be?

I tend to speak just what I feel.  I wish sometimes I would actually stop and think before I spoke.

I hear you there, but sometimes if you don't speak then people will just take the
p.ss so to speak! Really though saying how you feel is a great trend to have, but some people won't like that. I do speak from plenty of experience on that that particular question, speaking from experience...

I know we all remember our first kiss, would you say yours was a good experience or a bad one?  Please explain why.

My first kiss was not at all what I had expected.  I had expected the earth to move when I was kissed but was completely disappointed.  I did, however, learn that true love can come when you least expect it.

Louie hears you on that one! 'Giggles'

Do you ever remember a part in your life that’s made a huge impact on you as a person. If so would you like to share that part with the reader?

An employer, Richard Howell, introduced me to the legal field. Without him I wouldn’t have found a career that I thoroughly enjoyed.

That's awesome indeed, there is nothing better in life than doing a job you love :) I can see you're still trying that door handle, but please wait, I have ordered coffee at my virtual bar. It would be good to have a proper chat before you leave. It has been great having you here. Ok you're still trying that handle...

Can you tell the reader about your latest work and also tell the reader where they can find you.
Currently I am writing another thriller.  This book is still in its infancy but I do have 3 more books on the editor’s desk.

Once you call the your guards off, I will come out with my hands up, but please stop parking them tanks outside my office, how is a guy meant to get any work done?
